Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnered with a largely successful manufacturing specialist in their recruitment for a HSE Advisor. If you would like the opportunity to work in a fast paced, growing business that is led by its values andits ambition to succeed, then this could be the role for you!This is a varied role, with health & safety being the main focus, in addition to some HR and QA responsibilities. The systems are well established and the majority of time will be spent on the maintenance of these systems.Salary: £30,000 - £35,000Location: Leeds, LS9Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00)Benefits:- A salary review after the first 12 months- A Bonus (to be agreed after qualifying period)- Pension scheme- Car Parking SpaceCore Duties & Responsibilities:- Issuing new starter and induction paperwork- Controlling employee sign-off paperwork- Daily and weekly walk rounds- Inspections and audits- Recording and responding to accidents- The development and improvement of risk assessments and safe working practices- Dealing with claims & injury reporting- Filing and updating all documents- Managing PPE- Ensuring machinery daily checks are completeAdditional Duties & Responsibilities:- Basic "Hard HR" tasks, such as managing employee paperwork and records, assisting with disciplinary matters, recording holidays, employee records, disciplinary procedures, factory recruiting, dealing with agencies- Ordering office equipment and consumables, maintenance, repairs, improvements, QA paperwork and checks- Assisting the MD and other Directors in ad-hoc projects- Occasional cover for Accounts teamWed love to speak with you if you:- Have an understanding and working knowledge of H&S and HR, ideally in a manufacturing environment- Have experience in QA and ISO9001 (ideal but not essential)- Have experience of working within an office environment- Have an IOSH or similar qualification- Have excellent communication skills- Are a self-motivated individual with a continuous improvement mindset- Have a confidential, professional and approachable at all timesFor more information, please call Jemma Aylesbury.
