Job Description

Were looking for 3 HR Administrators to join our busy team in Leeds!Are you a HR Administrator looking for a new challenging and rewarding opportunity, in a successful and established business If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, based at our Princess Exchange Office.The salary for this role is £18,000 to £20,000 depending on skills and experience and the role involves some remote working and occasional travel.We have two permanent contracts and one 12-month fixed term contract availableAs a key member of the HR Shared Services (HRSS) team, this role will provide first line support and guidance to managers, employees and the HR Leadership team across First Bus.The role will support the business to maintain and update information within the people systems and ensure that people records are accurate to support the wider people strategy.The role will manage multiple people processes to ensure all work is delivered to a high standard and against the team service level agreements.Within this role you will also look to deliver continuous improvement across the people processes, to improve customer experience and deliver a first-class service to the business.What will you be doing

  • Ensure all HR administration is processed accurately, in a timely manner and with due care to First Bus policies, employment legislation and the principles of GDPR.
  • Support local managers to provide information and support on people processes across First Bus.
  • Work with our people system to ensure this is kept up to data and produce people reports for business stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service when managing internal and external stakeholders, to ensure all people requests are resolved on a first-time fix basis.
  • Proactively provide suggestions for process development and system enhancements to improve the customer experience and increase compliance within the team.
  • Keep up to date with HR best practice in order to be able to respond to queries effectively and identify new areas of service enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal contacts, including the operation company Heads of HR, HRBPs, operations and engineering teams.
  • To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience of working in a HR function and knowledge of key people processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant HR legislation associated with the employee life cycle.
  • Organised and results - driven with an eye for detail.
  • Experience of working with a People system - including the creation of people reports.
  • Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive people situations.
  • A team player committed to working with customers and colleagues to achieve the First Bus people strategy.
  • An advocate of and role model of the First Group Values.
