Job Description

The Best Connection are excited to represent a Major UK delivery service based out of Leeds Bradford Airport (Yeadon - LS29) and we are looking to assist them in expanding their team of HGV C+E Drivers coming into their peak period.The role will will be trunking using a Class 1 curtain-sided vehicle to the clients depots in the UK. No handball will be required for this role and the goods will be tipped via Forklift upon arrival to your destination. In return, the client is willing to compensate you with an extremely competitive pay rate of £21.00 p/h for day shifts and £22.00 p/h for nights!There are opportunities for drivers who prefer days or night shifts with the below start times:Days: Start times ranging between 05:00 am - 09:00 am (£21.00 p/h basic + Weekend Overtime).Nights: Start times ranging between 15:00 pm - 19:00 pm (£22.00 p/h basic + Weekend Overtime).Duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • Trunking to Depots/Ports
  • No handball required
  • Perform pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with company policy
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Who we are looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years Class 1 driving experience (referenceable)
  • Reliable individual with good time management skills
  • Approachable with a can do attitude
  • Flexibility on working hours
