Job Description

LGV1, HGV1, C+E, LGV 1, HGV 1 CLASS 1 GENERAL HAULAGE DRIVERS REQUIRED GUARANTEED 48 HOUR WEEK ON A SET 4 DAY ROTA! IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE Staffline are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Leeds for the collection of milk and dairy produce from farms and dairies. PAYE pay rates including holiday in lieu for the role HGV 1 driver are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday Days - £16.81 per hour
  • Monday to Friday Nights - £17.93 per hour
  • Saturday - £22.41 per hour
  • Sunday - £22.41 per hour
  • Bank Holiday - £28.02 per hour
PAYE pay rates for the role HGV 1 driver are as follows:
  • Monday to Friday Days - £15.00 per hour
  • Monday to Friday Nights - £16.00 per hour
  • Saturday - £20.00 per hour
  • Sunday - £20.00 per hour
  • Bank Holiday - £25.00 per hour
Please also contact us to discuss our new, entirely optional, alternative arrangement, where a driver would receive a payment in lieu of holiday accrued, which is paid weekly as you work, rather than holiday pay being accrued to be taken at a later date. If you chose this option, you must still follow the standard holiday processes in respect of booking periods of time off from work and will be actively encouraged to take appropriate time off each year We are delighted to offer full time regular work on all start times on day and night shifts any 5 out of 7 days a week. Start times for days are 06:00 and start times for nights are 18:00. Your Time at WorkDrivers will be required deliver to our clients depots. Full training will be given. This is not your ordinary Class 1 delivery work. Drivers must be willing to drive down narrow farm lanes and will be required to adhere to specific site rules. You will be dealing direct with farmers so this position will require good interpersonal skills aswell as attention to detail. You will be required to fill out associated paperwork. Ad hoc and part time work will also be available. Our Perfect WorkerAs an HGV Class 1 driver, you will ideally have -
  • 12 months HGV driving experience
  • No more than 6 points
  • Digi card and DCPC
