Job Description

Job Title: Health & Safety Manager (North)Clipper Logistics is one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK. With ability and agility at our core, our cutting-edge operations allow us to provide world class customer service to customers such as John Lewis, River Island, Marks & Spencerand Superdry.Reporting to the Group Head of Health, Safety and Wellness, the purpose of the role is to maintain and improve our excellent safety performance by providing professional advice to sites which ensures legal compliance, improves our safety standards, and ensuresClipper is recognised as a responsible employer.You will be working remotely to the rest of the Group H&S team so we are looking for an individual who is a self-motivated and able to demonstrate high levels of initiative, motivation and trust but also work closely with internal and external stakeholders.The ideal candidate must be able to follow guidance and Group H&S standards to ensure consistency and improvement across the business.In this role you are accountable for:

  • Ensuring Clippers health and safety policy and procedures are followed.
  • Ensuring Clippers H&S framework is implemented on new and existing sites.
  • Regularly carrying out audits of Clipper sites to ensure consistency and compliance with health and safety legislation and Company health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Providing professional advice and guidance to management and site teams in accordance with Clippers health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Promoting knowledge sharing and learning within the health and safety community to develop and improve effectiveness.
  • Regularly providing updates, statistics and site related H&S information to the Group Head of Health, Safety & Wellness.
  • Assisting theGroup Head of Health, Safety & Wellness with projects as required.
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
  • NEBOSH or equivalent as a minimum, ideally with a Chartered Membership.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Multisite experience.
  • Experience at development and delivery of training.
  • Experience in writing policies and procedures.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Experience working with IAuditor-SafetyCulture
  • Experience working with accredited management systems (ISO)
  • Capable of assisting sites in maintaining and obtaining RoSPA awards.
