Head of Web & Digital Leeds (Part home and part office working due to Covid)£40k - £50kWe are currently seeking a technically proficient, self-motivated and ambitious professional who can take on a pivotal role of Head of Web & Digital within a growing, well established Digital Services & Brand Content Agency in Leeds.This Head of Web & Digital role will involve being the digital lead for key clients, managing a team, embracing and maintaining the successful working practices and dynamic culture, whilst being hands-on building and refining websites, microsites, email templates and other digital assets. Additionally, the role will include responsibility for the company’s IT infrastructure and core SaaS products, including Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Product Information Management (PIM) systems.The successful Head of Web & Digital candidate will have extensive experience building web pages from scratch and in-depth knowledge of PHP programming language as a minimum. This is a unique opportunity to be the driving force in moving this expanding division of the business forward into the future!Head of Web & Digital Essential skills: • First-class technical knowledge of web platforms and languages, with a proven ability to write well designed code using the most appropriate web development practices • Excellent client and supplier relationship building and client management skills • Working closely with clients to advice best practice, identifying user and system requirements for new websites and applications • Monitoring site performance, identifying issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems • Manage concurrent projects from concept to completion, prioritising, setting timelines and assigning tasks to team members • Strong leadership and experience in team management, training and development • Budget and job profitability management • Good knowledge of SaaS, PPC, SEO, Social Media and IT infrastructures • At least five years Web Developer experience (ideally in an Agency).This innovative, technically driven Agency provides their clients with a range of broad brand marketing services, including: Digital Marketing, SaaS products, Data & Direct Marketing, Design Studio Services and Print solutions. We value the balance of home life and work, allowing people flexibility and freedom whilst maintaining high standards.Head of Web & Digital Key Responsibilities: • Work with the Board to set digital strategy, choose tools and manage delivery for all (digital) client projects (websites, tools and digital experiences) • Define the agency’s core digital’ product offering(s) • Create and deliver project proposals, quotations and tenders• Manage client profitability and the Digital cost-centre at a P&L level. • Front end development and back end management • Establishing best practice for digital production and workflow management • Lead team of developers and technical operators • Ability to complete tasks on your own as well as collaborate as a strong team member • Manage & maintain our key SAAS products (Digital Asset Management & Product Information Management) • Reviewing Google Analytics and other reports to provide ecommendations/insight • Software/hardware management and lifecycle • Liaise with designers to decide on UI/UX elements • Ensure our software documentation is up-to-date • Good creative design skills with an ability to advise what works best in a web environmentHead of Web & Digital Key Technical Skills: • WordPress (bespoke theme development and plugin customisation) • HTML, CSS & SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery and APIs • Knowledge of Zurb Foundation & Bootstrap frameworks • WooCommerce eCommerce platform, plug-ins, and integrations • Magento 1 & 2 theme development and site maintenance • Complex WordPress builds utilising custom posts, ACF, Gutenberg Blocks & API • Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc). • Hosting & domain/DNS setup and management• Basic server and hosting management - Linux, AWS, Digital Ocean Droplets, Azure Web Apps • Knowledge of Git Version Control • Data management and manipulation skills in Excel/Open Office adhering to GDPR requirements • Office365 administration and user account management • Front-end performance best practices • Excellent understanding of web standards and security practicesNice to haves: • Experience with Ruby on Rails • Experience with Microsoft.NET • SaaS / application roadmapping and development • SEO, PPC and Social media • Experience of Shopify and Craft CMSyou are interested in the advertised position for Head of Web & Digital please Register your interest’ through the requested method and we will be in touch shortly with regards to your suitability for the role.
