We are Derwent FM, and provide a range of facilities management services predominantly in the Student Sector. We have an on-site operating model with 20 site managers and circa 250 colleagues based around the UK and Ireland. Our target model is a community-basedapproach involving local neighbourhoods, suppliers and providing a rounded pastoral support package to students. Reporting directly into the MD you will work closely with both the Senior Leadership Team and the PFP Group People team in order to lead Derwent FMs people agenda.You will take a proactive and engaging approach, providing an innovate and cultural experience for our people. You will design and lead the people strategy, helping shape us to become an employer of choice supported by our culture, policies and procedures.This is a really exciting time to join our company, you will have the opportunity to build on an already strong culture, look at new ways of working and lead on all HR matters across Derwent FM.For more information please download the attached JDMore about your roleWe are looking for passionate people, you will have a history of building strong cultures, making positive changes and fostering strong employee relations. You will already have a HR generalist background, with good knowledge of ER issues (absence management,grievance and disciplinary) and TUPE. You will also possess strong communication skills and be adept at explaining complex HR information to non-HR employees whilst also influencing managers in taking the correct course of action.We want you to work independently and you will be the type of person who thrives with autonomy, however you will also know when to escalate matters when the need arises.
