We’re now on the lookout for a full-time experienced Head of Finance to join us to help support our vision and build the business. Our ideal candidate will want to join a fast-moving, exciting and collaborative environment and will be able to create a real impact as part of our business.As the Head of Finance, you’ll be operating in a senior management role within the organisation. You’ll be fully responsible for all elements of the finance function as sole member of the department; as the business scales, you’ll be involved with recruiting, building and managing your team.We’re a progressive company looking to making a big impact; your role will grow as we do.What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial systems, controls and procedures using Xero
  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, detailed commentary and KPIs
  • Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed on a monthly basis
  • Managing and preparing monthly payroll and annual year end payroll processes
  • Ensuring all VAT, PAYE and other legal / taxations requirements of all entities are correctly reported and submitted in line with legal and statutory requirements
  • Preparing financial models, budgets and projections in line with required business planning and forecasting timetable
  • Developing and reporting key performance indicators for the business.
  • Preparing year end accounts and an audit pack
  • Liaising with external accountants and tax advisors in preparing and submitting statutory accounts alongside taxation information and schedules
  • Monitoring and reporting on short and medium-term working capital and cash requirements, ensuring that any potential issues are reported to management in a timely fashion
  • Managing bank and external stakeholder relation as required, ensuring bank covenants are accurately reported
  • Providing operational and commercial business managers with insightful management information and analysis to support ongoing sales and operations
  • Education, experience and licensing requirements:
  • Ideally either Qualified or Qualified by Experience AAT/CIMA/ACCA
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience
  • Experience working within a scale-up is desirable
  • Prior experience of Xero is an advantage, but not necessary — capable in Excel
  • Good understanding of supply chain and stock related businesses
