Our state-of-the-art facilities enable us to deliver high-quality hospital services for the city of Leeds, Yorkshire & Humber region and beyond.Head of Capital Projects – AfC Band 8b - £53,168 - £62,001An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Capital Projects to join the Trust’s Estates & Facilities Directorate. This is a key role which holds responsibility for providing leadership and management of the Trust’s Estate Capital Development and Delivery Programme, and the line management of the Estates Capital Projects Team – which covers St. James’s, LGI, Chapel Allerton and Seacroft Hospitals.You will support the Head of Estates (Capital) in the development and management of the Estate Capital Development Programme, ensuring that is aligned to the Trust’s overall strategy and clinical and corporate strategies. You will also provide expert advice on all aspects of varying complexities of estates projects which affect the Trust’s ability to achieve its priorities ensuring that time; cost and quality standards are met.The Head of Capital Projects will work with the wider Operational Estates Team to ensure that projects are delivered such that they are fully compliant with legislation, HTMs, HBNs etc., using specialist advice (e.g. Approved Persons/Authorising Engineers) and Design Consultants. You will work closely with all directorates across the Trust, both clinical and non-clinical, to ensure full stakeholder engagement on projects.The role will require a highly capable professional with a background of working within large complex organisations, with a track-record of successful delivery of capital projects - preferably within a healthcare environment. A qualification in an appropriate construction discipline to degree level is essential and a corporate membership of a construction related professional body would be desirable.Strong leadership qualities, excellent organisational skills and well developed programme & change management capabilities would all be considered essential for the successful candidate.Leeds Teaching are working in partnership with Castlefield Recruitment to source this position.
