This is a Group Head of Procurement based in Leeds, the will be reporting into the director of Finance managing a team of 5. The role will be overlooking the organisations indirect spends across multiple of areas of procurement and supply chain. Client DetailsThe client is a well known public sector organisation with great facilities based in the heart of Leeds.DescriptionResponsible for the leadership of the Procurement function to maximise value for money andachieve EU and UK legislative compliance through the support and development of best practice.Develop, implement and maintain the Procurement Strategy.Own the Procurement budget and be accountable for the effective spending in line with policies.Lead the Procurement team and ensure that they receive appropriate support, training anddevelopment to achieve their potential.Act as the principle point of contact for formal communications with external companies during the procurement process.ProfileExperience:Detailed knowledge of EU and UK procurementlegislation, supplier and contract managementExtensive experience of procuring contractsand using procurement systemsDemonstrable experience of public sectorprocurement processesExperience of driving savings and maximisingefficiencies through close working with suppliersIs personally credible and can provideexamples of operating at a at senior level across alarge, complex organisationJob OfferThis is a great opportunity to walk into a dynamic procurement function and stamp your mark & implement new ideas to the team.
