We understand that people are unique, and we celebrate the differences of our residents and of our people.We have a highly unique role for aHead of Procurement to control spending practices for our £60-80m supply chain across all categories including staffing, food, energy, maintenance, cleaning and Capital investment in support of our Care Homes and Head Office.ResponsibilitiesWorking collaboratively with all operational and senior leadership teams to achieve best practice and to establish a robust procurement policy for the group, To implement best in class procurement processes in order to drive out commercial value and risk reductionwhile business partnering with the board on new spend, projects and capital investment.Design and roll-out appropriate procurement systems including a P2P tool in support of policies and procedures, partnering closely with other functions that generate the most third party spend.Build and manage key supplier relationships and review the need for third party risk management across the group.Establish and drive out cost reductions which will be targeted in annual budgets and reforecast cycles.Be an ambassador for the procurement and finance function and deliver progress updates to the board on process and commercial progress.Drive the organisations procurement function from a tactical based function to a strategic value-add function supporting cross-functional stakeholders across the groupDevelop a suite of documentation in support of increased value and governance in third party spend across the group including robust tender documents, policies and procedures.Coach and develop team to play an effective support role. 8 Work closely with legal team to drive out improved contractual terms and negotiations.Knowledge and Experience RequiredSubstantial experience as a procurement leaderSystems e.g. PO System / P2P Design and roll outDemonstratable track record of Business Partnering and delivering processes that add value and save cosyStrong agency staffing, utilities and catering procurement experience is desirableStrong commercial and legal expertise in the development and negotiation of contractsExperience of working within a regulated environment would be beneficial Highly numerate and KPI / data drivenBuild and nurture positive relationships with internal and external partners across the businessStrong stakeholder management, relationships, business partnering acumenConfidence, patience, politeness, tact and diplomacy in day to day running of a teamCapable of working indecently and as part of a teamCope well under pressureAbility to build and leverage strong internal and external relationshipsIn return, you will receive a competitive salary of £80,000-£100,000 package depending upon experience plus:Private medical cover (Bupa) single cover company funded*4x salary life assurance – company funded after 6 months servicePension Scheme with Royal LondonPersonal car leases via salary sacrifice*/*Benefits platform – discounts across multiple retailers (supermarkets, High Street etc), leisure providers, hospitality etc. Online and instore discountsVectis Card – instant discount card25 days holiday plus bank holidaysHoliday Flex – purchase additional holiday*Simply Health – company funded, providing cashback for prescriptions, optical and dental costs 24/7 virtual GP access plus more for you and up to 4 children*Enhanced Company Maternity, Paternity, Adoption pay, plus £200 new child paymentFlexible working patternsCycle to work scheme*/**Recommend a friendService recognitionTraining support and development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWellbeing supportDiscounted gym membershipEligible for a Blue Light CardSubsidised BHSF Sick Pay CoverBHSF, Life Cover, Cancer Cover, Personal Accident CoverFree The Company Shop membershipFree Will ServiceConcerts for Carers*Benefits require completion of a 12-week probationary period before they can be accessed.
