Anstar is a start-up speciality chemical distributor founded by Dr Liangyu Hawkes in 2018, our current focus is on the UV-curable raw materials market. These chemicals include photoinitiators, which are used in a range of applications such as printing inks, coatings, 3D printing, medical devices and electronics etc. Anstar’s core philosophies are trust, transparency and ethical conduct; these values are demonstrated by the strong and endearing partnerships we have created and will continue to build with our suppliers and customers, who are at the heart of our business.We are in a rapid expansionary phase and therefore are looking for bright and enthusiastic Technical Sales Associates to strengthen the sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain sales and commercial experience in a high-growth industry; be supported and mentored by experienced and dedicated members of our team and be part of an exciting start-up that you can directly influence and shape.The salary will be in the range 25K to 30K (which includes a car allowance and other benefits) depending on experience and aptitude. Although we are currently Leeds-based, remote working is possible and welcomed (especially given the current Covid-19 situation).Your Responsibilities> Bring onboard new customers; nurture and maintain strong relationships with current customers. Once trained, you will be responsible for managing key customer accounts.> Visit customers and respond to their requirements. Keep up to date with the industry and product innovations to provide comprehensive advice, commercial and technical support.> Meet Anstar’s sales targets and professional objectives set by you and your mentor.> Help Anstar expand and become the number one speciality chemicals distributor in the UK and Ireland.Requirements for the role:> A chemistry-related bachelor’s degree at a reputable university, achieved (or predicted) 2.1 class or higher.> A master’s degree is desirable but not essential.> Have an astute commercial sense and interest in business and sales.> Previous sales/ commercial experience is desirable but not essential.> Organised and self-motivated, willing to take the initiative and be proactive; open-minded and willing to learn.> Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills, as well as exceptional relationship management abilities.> Leadership qualities.> Good proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
