Job Description

Graduate Tax Associate, Leeds , £17,000-£25,000A specialist Tax Advisory firm due to continued growth is looking to recruit a Tax Associate to join their firm located in Leeds city centre.To be considered you should be a graduate or A’ Level School leaver with strong academics who has an interest in tax and is looking for a career in Tax Advisory Services.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to progress their career in Tax as support will be provided for obtaining the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification and the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.The role will be a mixture of office based (in Leeds) and working from home.Role Responsibilities:

  • Researching tax legislation
  • Report writing and preparing tax advice
  • Maintaining client and contact databases and processing information in a GDPR compliant manner
  • Demonstrating commercial awareness by keeping up to date with the ever-changing tax legislation
Person specification:
  • Able to work on own initiative whilst also being a team player;
  • Strong attention to detail and willing and ready to learn
  • Strong IT skills (in particular in Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Previous Tax or Accounting related work experience would be desirable but not essential.
Qualifications:
  • A 2:1 degree or above from a reputable university (ideally in law, accounting, economics, or business related subjects although not essential)
  • GCSE English and Maths, grade B/6 or above and 2 A level qualifications, grade B or above or equivalent
