Graduate Tax AssociateOur client is a specialist tax advisory firm based in Leeds. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Tax Associate to join the team.This opportunity might appeal to soon to be graduates with a strong interest in tax, those wishing to change career, or accounting/tax professionals working in a junior role.This role offers career progression as support will be provided for obtaining the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification and the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.The role itself will also be varied giving you excellent exposure to a broad range of tax matters.The position is full-time, 37.5 hours with flexible and hybrid working but ideally office based on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Salarydepending on experience between £20,000 – £26,000 with a generous bonus scheme paid annually.Role Responsibilities:· Researching tax legislation;· Report writing and preparing tax advice along with supporting computations· Maintaining client and contact databases and processing information in a GDPR compliant manner;· Assisting in ad hoc tax jobs as required;· Demonstrating commercial awareness by keeping up to date with the ever-changing tax legislation;· Taking an active role in the marketing of the company for e.g. writing online blogs, social media posts, attending networking events etc· Preparing tax returns;· Being aware of the billing situation with the clients you are working on.Person specification:· Able to work on own initiative whilst also being a team player;· Strong attention to detail;· Willing and ready to learn;· Strong IT skills (in particular in Microsoft Word and Excel);· Previous tax or accounting related work experience desirable but not essential.Qualifications:· A minimum degree of 2.1 from a reputable university (ideally in law, accounting, economics, or business-related subjects although not essential);· GCSE English and Maths, grade B/6 or above;· 2 A level qualifications, grade B or above.To apply please send your CV via the link or contact Louise – Unity Resourcing.
