Job Description

Graduate IT Support Engineer, £25-35,000 + benefits including + bonus + 20 days holiday + bank holidays + 8% employers pension + laptop + on-going professional development, including support with training courses and certifications.The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated graduate who has a passion for IT and emerging technologies and is keen to develop their IT skills, while being mentored by more senior team members, in a progressive and supportive environment.Working for a leading Managed Service Provider the successful Graduate IT Support Engineer will enjoy working on a wide variety of IT projects for a broad range of clients, both in the office and on clients sites, utilising both established and cutting-edgetechnology. You will have excellent communication skills and will be conscientious when dealing with the day-to-day IT support tasks, while also looking for improvements and IT innovations that will benefit your clients, juggling multiple priorities and goingthe extra mile to provide the highest level of customer experience.The successful Graduate IT Support Engineer will work in both the central Leeds office (LS11), where parking is available, and on client sites, the majority of which are within a 1-hour drive of the office.The Company: aFinite Ltd. is a leading IT Services company who have developed a reputation for providing expert, honest, proactive and cost-effective IT support and advice, and deliver a range of services for clients of all sizes, from adhoc emergency support to fully managed support contracts.Graduate IT Support Engineer, responsibilities:

  • Provide first class technical support, via IT helpdesk, phone, email and face-to-face
  • Assist on a variety of IT projects, internally and on client sites
  • Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, both remotely and in person, delivering technical resolutions and implementing enhancements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop strong client relationships, going the extra mile to deliver an exceptional service
  • Talk clients through a variety of actions, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, both responding to alerts and proactively reviewing client systems.
  • Specify and support the roll out of new equipment and applications
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Set up new user accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and within agreed timescales.
  • Work with the business support team to assist with the production of quotes, record time and complete administration as required
Graduate IT Support Engineer, skills and experience required:
  • A good understanding and passion for IT, keen to learn new skills and embrace emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • A strong relationship builder with a proactive and problem-solving approach, willing to go the extra mile to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • A collaborative team player and a results focused, motivated self-starter.
  • High levels of organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast paced, often pressurised environment.
  • Commercially aware, seeking to drive improvement and add value
  • A good understand of a wide range of technology, both hardware and software.
  • A full Driving license.
