Our Preconstruction business unit is responsible for tendering large projects and winning work for Colas ltd. Weve had great successes recently after winning work in the Bristol and Midlands regions, working on the councils highways frameworks. Due tocompany growth, were recruiting for a Graduate Bid Writer to join the team in assisting with the preparation and completion of prequalification and tender submissions as required. Key tasks include client research, document reviews, answer planning, storyboarding,quality submission construction, and taking review feedback on board to ensure continuous improvement. You will be tasked to liaise and work closely with operationalbusiness units and the wider Colas Group in developing and completing written responses for bids. We are keen for the Graduate Bid Writer to help support our Bid Apprentices with any technical advice and to provide support for the development and maintenanceof a Colas Knowledge Bank. The Ideal CandidateThe perfect candidate for this role will be a flexible and motivated graduate who has a genuine passion for Bid Writing and has a desire to develop their existing skills and acquire new technical competences to enhance their personal and team capabilities.You will hold a bachelors degree, preferably in English, Journalism, History or Law and have excellent written and verbal communications skills. We are also looking for someone who has a willingness to act as a One Planet Champion contributing to environmentaland social value outcomes, in which we will provide access to training and support to do so.
