Job Description

Geo-Environmental ConsultantLocation: LeedsMy client, a market leading Engineering Consultancy, is searching for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join their friendly and innovative team in Leeds.The Geo-Environmental team provides a comprehensive range of services to assist in the pre-planning and engineering processes, supporting clients throughout the project from feasibility to completion.Experience and Skills Required

  • A Degree in Geology,
    • contaminated land, engineering geology, environmental science, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering or similar), is desirable
    • Working towards / be prepared to work towards Chartership with a relevant institution
  • Geology, engineering, chemistry, environmental science
  • Phase 1 and Phase 2 Geo-Environmental Site Investigations.
  • Experience working for a UK based Consultancy.
  • Full driving licence.
ResponsibilitiesSite work including supervision of geoenvironmental ground investigations and sub-contractor management
    • Field work including soil logging and environmental sampling and monitoring and geotechnical testing
    • Preparation of technical reports including desk studies, ground investigation reports and remediation options appraisals and verification reports
    • Support with ground investigation scope and design
