Job Description

Client DetailsAn exciting opportunity for a Garment Tech Admin Assistant to join a design led business in West Yorkshire. They are a leading British Brand who designs and sells apparel & accessories who are known for quality products which are producedoverseas. Due to growth and demand for their brand they are looking to hire a to join the business.Description
  • Review of proto/design samples to ensure that they conform to size and design specifications
  • Photograph and measure all proto and SMS samples noting discrepancy measurements
  • Fit SMS samples in collaboration with the designers and garment tech
  • Update each style with comprehensive fit comments providing a detailed technical specification to the factories
  • Assisting garment techs with bulk sealing and graded size charts for production
  • Managing the critical path from proto sample to bulk production
  • Record and track all samples, ensuring they are received in time and prepared for fit meetings
  • Record the correct care label and packaging details to ensure they are applied correctly by suppliers
  • Organising, reviewing and approving test reports
  • Ensure the companys Quality and Fit standards are adhered to
  • Work closely with design and product development teams to provide technical guidance regarding size specifications, fabric selection and garment construction.
  • Assist with the development of fits and blocks for new ranges.
  • Organise and attend all fit meetings with customers.
Profile
  • Strong understanding of garment fitting and construction, an interest in knitwear would be an advantage
  • A degree in fashion / garment technology
  • The ability to effectively communicate across internal departments and with suppliers
  • Ability to work in a faced paced environment
  • Keen eye for detail and a team player
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
