Ideally youll have a good level of experience with the majority of the tech above.General TechWere looking for someone who has general experience with the below, which should now be common in any modern engineers skillset:
  • Cloud hosting.
  • Automation (build/CI and testing, etc).
  • Uses modern tooling and workflows.
  • Writing clean and maintainable code. Not flashy overly-complex code.
  • TDD & unit testing
But What Does Travlet Actually DoOur core product helps hotel guests get more from their time away. At the moment, the core feature of our platform recommends attractions and activities for guests on a personalised basis.Like any system, theres a lot more to it than just that though.Hotel guests can book tickets in advance of arriving and secure great discounts.We integrate directly with hotels, attraction providers (like Merlin) and other partners.We work globally, with hotels across the world and attraction providers across the globe.From a Marketing perspective, we describe ourselves as a "digital concierge".Who Were Looking For

More On Who Were Looking ForYoull be happy to work remotely. Youll recognise that you have the ability to work from home, a coffee shop or a hut on the beach. Well be honest - working fully remotely can be very freeing, but it can also be isolating for some people and isnt thebest fit for everyone.Youll get a high level of autonomy - this means we need someone who is comfortable with committing and delivering work without frequent supervision.You wont need to be spoon fed and there typically wont be any written specifications. At the size we are, its more important for us to work on a lean and agile basis and deliver features quickly.We dont have project managers either - so youll need to be able to discuss a problem or new feature, flesh out the solution, implement it and test it.We build our product through discussion and agreeing what to implement - based on how we all think is the best solution and architecture. So youll need to be able to work collaboratively too - we dont need lone wolves who go off on a tangent or suddenlyover-architect the solution adding bells and whistles that will never get used.Youll need to be able to take initiative and problem solve on an individual basis and also part of a team through discussion.If something goes wrong - as they often can - you wont have a problem telling people about it. Youll learn from your mistakes.WhereThis role is fully remote.Our tech team is fully remote. We designed our team like this before the pandemic - so its a cultural decision. We typically meet as a team on a monthly basis - this may increase or decrease depending on what were building, how busy weare and where everyone lives.We communicate via video calls, phone calls and often WhatsApp (or similar platform).-----------Important NotesYou must be UK based.This is a full time role, no freelancers or agencies please.
