Job Description

Our client, a Global leader within their field of Logistics and Supply Chain, are looking to recruit a Freight Operations Executive to be an integral part of their superb and very busy team! This company have experienced really strong success and continuedgrowth with strategic growth planned over the coming years. Your role will be within a great team and asFreight Executive, you will enjoy a busy and varied role and will be ready to take on this excellent opportunity!What we are looking for:

  • Ideally you will have some experience or knowledge of Shipping, Imports, Exports or similar, or you are keen to work within this area with strong and transferable skills.
  • A team player who enjoys an engaging and collaborative team culture
  • Process driven and methodical in your approach
  • Good IT skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Well organised with excellent time management skills
  • A confident communicator and relationship builder
What will be involved:
  • Processing and accepting client shipping requests
  • Working on the IT System (Cargowise) to check shipment details and other documentation
  • Effectively manage queries, liaising with Carriers, Hauliers, Overseas Agents etc. developing strong relationships
  • Receive bills of lading, costing and invoicing for shipments made
  • Managing incoming deliveries and communicating internally with other departments ensuring they are informed of possible delays or any other issues
  • Internal reporting on KPIs
  • Managing the shipment via internal systems, tracking at all stages
