Job Description

Senior Reporting Manager £90,000 - £100,000Permanent, Full-timeLeeds (Hybrid Working)Senior Reporting Manager required to join a high calibre banking organisation based in Leeds on a permanent basis. My client is looking for an experienced professional who enjoys a varied role and is keen to add value to an already successful team.As the Senior Reporting Manager you will manage and implement the strategy and plan for the provision of financial business analytics and insights, alongside the various duties below;Key responsibilities of the Senior Reporting Manager

  • Ensure the effective articulation of the Banks results and metrics to internal and external stakeholders (ExCo, line management, Board, Shareholder)
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate the metrics and measurements needed by the business and functional leaders to be able to deliver on the Banks strategy and inform effective decision making.
  • Develop and deliver creative visual presentations of metrics to be able to inform the Banks stakeholders (which includes Parliament and the broader public through the Annual Report and Accounts) of the Banks progress against its mandate and strategy inan understandable form.
  • Development, implementation and enhancement of the financial reporting framework and supporting policies, standards and procedures.
  • Manage and prepare business analysis of financial results for the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, debt and equity
  • Review, assess and identify performance insights and risks, and proactively develop innovative ideas for solutions to unique issues or opportunities for which there may not be a precedent.
  • Challenge and influence discussions and decisions to optimise the Banks performance and delivery of strategic objectives
  • Lead as a trusted finance business partner with front office and functional areas
  • Research and understand banking transactions and resulting impacts on all aspects of financial results
  • Identify, implement and review internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data and reports.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury and Financial Operations, and Financial Control teams to understand and translate functional activity into reporting requirements and solutions
  • Lead, coach and manage and a high performing and engaged team to deliver the functions strategic and financial reporting framework
Required skills and experience of the Senior Reporting Manager
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, business, management or finance (desired)
  • Experience in management reporting and analysis
  • Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and maintaining complex financial models
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong IT skills including knowledge of WorkDay and Power BI (desired)
