Financial Lines Underwriter The Role: Financial Lines UnderwriterTo assist in the growth of our professional indemnity business in both e-trade and open market environmentsLocation: Flexible (North-West England)Responsibilities:

• Underwriting new business and renewal referrals in line with agreed delegated underwriting authority guidelines
• Underwriting / generating terms ensuring they are presented to Brokers in a timely manner and providing high levels of service.
• Dealing with broker and colleagues queries by phone and emails within agreed authority limits,
• Approaching insurers with referrals on scenarios that are outside of our Delegated Authority in terms of pricing, coverage, and policy conditions,
• Organising work allocation and prioritising where necessary whilst regularly reporting to the underwriting team leader
• Adhering to compliance and regulatory procedures,

Experience:

• Some professional indemnity underwriting experience.
• Basic PI underwriting principles as a minimum
• Good time management skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, good communication skills, proactive and commercially aware.
• Enthusiastic attitude, hardworking and ability work autonomously
