Job Description

Gifford and Partners are underway with a retained recruitment assignment to appoint a hands-on Finance Director for a dynamic and forward-thinking SME. As Finance Director this role will provide financial stewardship in a role expected to be split 60/40 between Commercial and operations versus financial control and governance. This role will oversee all financial activity within the business giving strategic direction towards ambitious international growth plans, alignment of process and controls and development of operating systems. Other key responsibilities will include and not be limited to:

  • Manage a small finance function
  • Support HR and IT
  • Production and presentation of a "board friendly" board pack!
  • Contracts review and negotiation
  • Producing KPI and sales metrics to be used by the board and wider business
  • Budgeting and forecasting including 3/5 year forecast
  • Investment appraisal and where appropriate, growth funding
    • Essentially this role is targeting a qualified accountant ACMA/ACCA/ACA with post qualified experience. An understanding of CIS would be a distinct advantage but ultimately you need to be proactive, capable of engaging with non-financial stakeholders and prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in where required.A great role in a growing and business at an exciting time where you can add further value in driving the business forward.
