Financial AnalystLocation: Leeds, LS12 2EPSalary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annumExcellent opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join a growing company engaged on an important and potentially highly profitable mission.Our client, C-Capture, designs world-leading chemical processes for carbon dioxide (CO2) removal. In return we will offer a study package, including study leave, with share options available as a reward forlong-term commitment.The CompanyAs a spin-out form the University of Leeds, with recent investors including IP Group, Drax, and BP Ventures, C-Capture is ready and well placed to deploy their unique technology across a broad range of industrial sectors.Having patented a unique, solvent based technology which offers a safe, low-cost way to remove carbon dioxide from emissions, this technology is set to help deliver the carbon emission reductions, helping solve one of the biggest problems of the 21st Century.With the team transitioning from talented engineers and chemistry graduates focused on R&D, to an organisation with a strong commercial foothold, the business systems support functions are looking for a Financial Analyst to expand their expertise.The RoleAs a Financial Analyst, you will provide key finance and business support, working closely with the CFO, Financial Controller, the Executive and other members of the wider business.This opportunity would suit a team player with a can-do attitude who is looking to take that next step in their career.In this varied role, you will be providing Core Finance, Executive Support and Business support across the business as well as other ad hoc duties. Responsibilities will includeCore finance

• Production of monthly management reporting - P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows
• P&L and project variance analysis vs budget/prior periods with commentary
• Produce and monitor Public Grant reports for public funding streams
• Produce and monitor cost reports for private strategic partners
• Payroll and expenses reports
• Year-end accounts processes
• Liaise with bank, suppliers and external partners

Executive support

• Support weekly finance update for Executive
• Support CFO and FC on Investor Queries, Investment rounds, project funding
• Support CFO and FC on financial and non-technical aspects for investors
• Support on ad hoc queries from CFO, Exec

Business support

• Project variance analysis vs budget/prior periods
• Support financial assurance elements of project management system integration with Xero
• Procurement and Contract management support
• Be point of contact between Finance and the wider Business for Xero, PMS and Teams
• Carbon and climate impact measurement and reporting

Skills & Experience

• Degree educated, numerate/ economic/ business orientated discipline
• Part Qualified or commitment to embark on professional accountancy qualification (CIMA preferred)
• Experience of general accounting or other business-related activities
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience of Microsoft packages, including project management systems preferred
• Experience of accounting packages including Xero desirable
• SME/ scale up experience desirable

• Willingness to learn new systems including Xero, PMS, Teams, Vestd, Diligent
