Job Description

Do you want to be part of a senior finance team, working closely to help support business growth and progression Looking for a rounded role with exposure across accounts and the wider businessYoull work closely with the Finance Director, ensuring the management and statutory requirements of the business are met. Its a small finance team and youll have a varied role, a keen eye for analysis, while reporting knowledge is also key to help develop the MI offering. Youll work to tight and demanding deadlines.Ideally, youll be a qualified Qualified Accountant stepping up from within an industry role, or possibly looking for a first move from practice. The business is going through several changes, it is a good time to join and be part of this process.Given the nature of the role, youll be confident, personable, and happy to challenge current perceptions.The key duties include;

  • Timely and accurate month end reporting
  • Help prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Liaison with auditors and preparation for year-end audit
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and processes
  • Oversee group bank accounts and cash flow
  • VAT returns
  • Identification of areas for improvement in efficiency and for accounting procedures; take responsibility for implementation
  • Support and oversee ledger clerks
