Job Description

Interim Finance Director, TCC TCC is a forward-thinking, technology focused financial services consultancy, working with some of the UKs largest financial services firms. Were constantly innovating to expand our range of tech-enabled solutions that, paired with our compliance expertise,transform culture and conduct in financial services. Were also expanding geographically - earlier this year we launched TCC in Australia.Currently, were looking for an Interim Finance Director for a 9 month flexible engagement term on a part time basis. The role will report into the CEO of TCC.Responsibilities and accountabilities:Reporting to the CEO of TCC, the individual would have the following key responsibilities and accountabilities in TCC

  • Support the CEO in articulating the financial component of the company strategy, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
  • Oversee the preparation of, and review finance reports on a monthly and annual basis and report on these to the Board
  • Assist in company-wide budgetary planning and oversee, review, and track to the budgets for each business department and company, including any reforecasts
  • Form a close working relationship with the senior management teams
  • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth and offer recommendations about future system implementation
  • Review and oversee the finance function and evaluate current processes, offering process improvement changes and expert advice
  • Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
  • Be accountable for identifying, managing and escalating operational risks in relation to the Finance team as appropriate
  • Support the Financial Controller with the full time management of the finance team including setting and monitoring objectives, training development needs and onboarding of new finance staff as required
In addition, the individual would be expected to lead the budgetary planning for TCCs sister business Recordsure, and oversee, review, and track to the agreed budget and then reforecast financial performance throughout the year.Person Specification
  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification
  • Able to commit 2-3 days a week to the role. Location commutable to Leeds office preferred.
  • Ideally experience of fundraising, M&A and shareholder management
  • Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success
