Page Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a large company within the Leisure Industry in Yeadon, North Leeds.Client DetailsPage Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a large company within the Leisure Industry in North Leeds. The company is profiting year on year and are looking for a new member to add to their finance team, working in a small team on thePurchase Ledger and as a Finance Assistant. This job role is fully office based 5 days a week and the company offers many benefits and perks! This role will contribute to the day to day financial administration of the organisation, and to ensure that the FinanceTeam is supported in delivering the overall team objectives.Description

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct VAT treatment and that invoices are fully approved in accordance with the delegated authority matrix.
  • Liaise with department managers and suppliers to resolve account and invoice queries.
  • Reconcile and allocate direct debit accounts, resolving any queries and missing invoices.
  • Reconcile Supplier statements.
  • Process pro-Forma invoices in accordance with procedures and follow up with suppliers to ensure VAT invoice received promptly.
  • Creation of BACS payment runs and ad-hoc payments.
  • Regular review of aged creditors and pro-actively resolve any associated queries
  • Post and reconcile daily bank statements ensuring accuracy of postings and correct VAT treatment.
  • Ensure VAT codes are correctly applied to sales and purchase invoices and all VAT procedures are followed in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation for the annual audit.
  • Provide support for general business administration tasks - filing, mail handling, dealing with general queries.
  • Liaise and deal with queries from operators, concessionaires and business partners.
  • Work towards maximising use of the finance software functionality. Pro-actively identify potential areas for improvement or efficiency savings.
  • Work with other departments as required to ensure information required to facilitate ad-hoc billing is obtained in a timely manner.
  • Process ad-hoc invoices, ensuring correct charges are applied and invoices issued in a timely manner.
  • Issue statements via email on a regular basis, and actively contact debtors to ensure payments are received within agreed terms.
Profile
  • Purchase Ledger Clerk or Finance Assistant Experience (1 Year Minimum)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient on MS Office
