Job Description

Finance Assistant / Central Leeds / Salary £22,000 - £25,000 + Excellent Benefits / Hybrid Working / Career Development / Study Support / PermanentNC Associates are working with a market leading professional services organisation based in central Leeds to assist in recruiting an experienced Finance Assistant to support the Cash and Finance Department. This role will report to the Finance Manager butwill have hybrid working options to work 2-3 days per week from home. As a Finance Assistant you will provide support within the finance department providing a seamless end to end process.This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a career within finance who already has 12-18 months proven relevant work experience and who is looking to make a career move to develop themselves further within a professional organisation offering studysupport.The responsibilities of the Finance Assistant role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing cash receipts using internal systems.
  • Accurate and precise processing of financial transactions.
  • Process credits and returning of held client funds.
  • Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to appropriate resolution taking ownership where possible.
  • Work within strict compliance and legislation both within the companys procedures as well as those relevant to the UK including the appropriate anti money laundering legislation.
  • Provide a high level of professional customer service to internal and external customers within a professional and reputable firm.
  • Ad-hoc duties appropriate to the role (inc, cover for other shared service functions).
Requirements of the Finance Assistant:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ideally you will have exposure to multi-currency working.
  • Fast, accurate and precise keyboard skills.
  • Proactive, positive attitude.
  • Proven background working within a shared service environment.
  • Excellent IT and systems skills including MS Excel.
  • Desire to develop your finance career and utilise study support.
