Job Description

We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover the Leeds, Doncaster and surrounding areas for our material handling business.Dawsongroup material handling is part of the UK’s largest asset rental company Dawsongroup plc and leading provider of material handling equipment.The Field Service Engineer will service and repair forklift trucks at designated customer sites as well as our own site.As the Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing, repairing and servicing forklift trucks at designated locations
  • Ensuring all repairs carried out are reported in writing, together with parts used and time taken
  • Examining fork trucks and reporting verbally or in writing regarding their condition
  • Maintaining good contact with all designated customers
You will need to be prepared to do physical work in the warehouse or factory for such things as stock checks, lorry unloading, stock movements and demonstrations where needed.The successful Field Service Engineer will hold:
  • Ability to work on diesel, LPG, Hydraulic and electronic systems
