You’ll receive all the support and training you need to make a success of your role.What’s more, we have just won the breakthrough of the year award at the European Mediscience Awards 2020, making this an exciting time to be joining us and expanding your career horizons.The RoleAs a Field Application Specialist, you will provide technical support to customers throughout Leeds and the surrounding area.Acting as a primary point of contact for customers, you will manage and resolve technical queries, build a good understanding of customers’ requirements and recommend products to best meet their needs.Operating as part of the tech support team, you will facilitate technical solutions for customers, carry out demonstrations to drive sales and provide support as their solutions evolve.You’ll be working primarily with key accounts and NHS customers and will organise and carry out product training and demonstrations at customer sites and communicate customers’ comments, complaints and concerns to management.About YouTo join us as a Field Application Specialist, you’ll need:- At least two years’ relevant laboratory experience- Experience in a customer-facing role, including email, telephone and face-to-face interactions- A high level of molecular biology (PCR/qPCR) technical competence- A BSc Hons (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific subject- A full driving licenceA PhD in a relevant discipline would be highly desirable, as would knowledge of the Primerdesign product range.Please note, we are also offering this role working across the Swindon area.You may have previously worked as a Laboratory Analyst, Scientist, Lab Analyst, Research Associate, or R&D Scientist.Other organisations may call this role Product Support Specialist, Field Service Technician, Technical Sales Representative, Customer Support Advisor, or Technical Support Advisor.Webrecruit, Novacyt and Primerdesign are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
