Internal advert: Estates & Facilities Virtual Assessment Centre Event:Please note: This is not an IT Position: However, you will need to have access to a both Microsoft Teams and a camera to undertake the process visually.The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are looking for flexible and reliable individuals required to work in our Patient Environment Department as a Facilities Technicians (Patient Environment) at St James, which is a band 2 post. This redesigned post has replaced the traditional band 1 positions of the former Ward Housekeeping, Portering and Ward Environment Porter (WEP) roles.The Facilities Technician position will have a primary role, which will involve spending the vast majority of their time completing e.g. Housekeeping type duties. However, the successful applicant will be trained and would be available to complete, from time to time, other roles, including Portering and acting as a Receptionist, as an example. We currently have permanent vacancies, for Facilities Technicians to primarily work as Ward Housekeepers’ to function either on Wards, Department areas or public thoroughfares. The successful candidates will be required to work at St James Hospital. Duties will include providing a dual function of both cleaning and catering service provision to the wards/departments at the St James’. The maintenance of the environment to a high standard of cleanliness is essential within the role. Catering duties involve the service delivery to an optimum standard and a highly efficient meal & beverage service to patients.There will be an expectation to complete ad-hoc duties as and when required.The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, good team players and able to work on their own initiative and be able to demonstrate the Leeds Way values, these being:-
