We are looking for an ambitious and driven Account Manager who is looking for a role that comes with lots of potential for growth and development. This is an exciting time to join this growing chemicals business where you will make a big impact through the developing of new business and manage accounts to maximise sales opportunities.A background in the chemicals industry is essential. If you are in an internal sales or UK sales role in the chemicals sector and looking to expand your skills and knowledge further into international sales, this role could also be for you.As an Export Account Manager, your role will involve travel, initially to potential customers in Europe but then developing the export market further afield as the division grows. You will therefore be comfortable with traveling and staying away from home whenattending client meetings.You will work out of the Leeds office and develop strong relationships with the customer services and technical teams. The option to work remotely a coup of days per week is also possible.This is a fantastic opportunity to move your career to the next stage within a progressive business.Details:* Basic salary - dependent on experience - £28k-£35k* Bonus structure* Good company benefits* Full-time / Permanent* Based Leeds / Hybrid* Mon-Fri / 35 hours per week* Lots of opportunity for progressionResponsibilities:* Comprehensively promote the companys product range and services to all current and prospective export customers.* Deliver sustainable profitable growth for existing & new customers, taking the lead on customer management, lead generation and conversion of new business.* Build customer loyalty and develop knowledge of their business activity, highlighting potential products to strengthen the companys portfolio.* Prepare and be responsible for producing annual budgets and business plans for the sales area and to include future market development.* Analyse sales performance trends and react accordingly to any lost and/or threatened business.* Maintain project pipeline to effectively inform supplier negotiations and purchasing planning.* Seek and report any competitive insight to inform strategy and purchasing/pricing tactics.Requirements:* Chemical industry experience is also essential - ideally with surfactants.* Previous experience in sales account management / business development is required.* Knowledge of developing export business and dealing with international customers would be a bonus.* Ability to confidently organise, plan and execute sales strategies.* Self-motivating, diligent, and driven.* Strong communicator with exceptional negotiation skills.* Highly proficient in literacy, numeracy, and ITPlease apply with an up-to-date CV.Key Appointments UK Ltd will assess your suitability for the role based on the information contained in your CV and application.
