Opera North is Englands national opera company in the north. Based in Leeds, the company is committed to producing work of the highest quality that excites, challenges and entertains. We tour throughout the north of England, and also nationally and internationally.We also programme our own venue, the Howard Assembly Room, with a huge range of events including gigs, classical music recitals, film screenings, talks, workshops, symposiums and visual arts installations.Opera North is looking for three enthusiastic and capable people to fill the role of Stage Manager and Artist Liaison in the Howard Assembly Room. Shifts vary but run from approximately 2pm-10.30pm with a break, predominantly falling WednesdaySunday eachweek. Schedules are issued on a seasonal basis and we ask each Stage Manager and Artist Liaison to be available for a minimum of 6 events per season.The Stage Manager and Artist Liaison will support the Opera North Projects team in the delivery of its Howard Assembly Room public programme through practical stage management on event days, and for artist liaison at events. The role will involve making stagecalls, purchasing and setting up artists riders, allocating complimentary tickets, buy outs and coordinating with the Howard Assembly Room Technical and Front of House teams.The successful candidate will have proven experience of event management, ideally working in the live music and/or arts sectors.You will have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.All applicants must be able to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.Salary: £10.50 p/h plus hourly paid holiday payLocation: Leeds, LS1 6NUHours: Part timeDeadline for applications: 10th August 2022Interviews to be held in Leeds: w/c 15th August 2022Shifts vary but run from approximately 2pm- 10.30pm with a break, predominantly falling WednesdaySunday each week.
