As the European Operations Director, your focus will be on the operations of the EMEA sites - 7 in Europe to be exact - and also in India. You will be looking to support our plants to create a safe environment to develop and drive operational excellence whilstensuring top quality products are manufactured and delivered to customers on schedule, on time and in budget.This is an incredibly varied role which will mean being responsive, making decisions and supporting your teams to make decisions. JOB DESCRIPTION: European Operations Director - Manufactured technical materials Reporting to the VP of Operations, youll be instrumental in driving individual site standards and in some cases uniformity, whilst adapting to each unique requirement. We are a top down, metric driven environment. However, crucially we also have a consultative,coaching and development approach to our leadership. A full job description is available, the key tasks are: Inclusive / empowering leadership of 8 sites (7 European sites, plus 1 in India), c$175m in sales and 800 staff. Commercially driven (whilst staying within the business values), and tasked with operating at optimum employee levels, costs and productivity objectives. Work closely with site leads to develop and implement long and short-term objectives. Championing the companys culture, safety, sustainability, and employee engagement programs. Drive major projects, possibly working towards the use of M4.0 and automation. PERSON SPECIFICATION: European Operations Director - Manufactured technical materials Having got this far, hopefully we have outlined that this requires an inclusive leader - your style and implementation is critical to us. Youre an experienced professional, robust and someone who knows how to be involved in multiple complex challenges acrossmultiple sites, with multiple cultures across multiple countries. Whats more, this is what drives you. Most likely you will have: The ability to show humility, to listen and learn about the business first. The strength to call out the pros and cons and where changes need to occur. Worked across multi site, multi country manufacturing environments, ideally unionised. A track record of building successful teams. A Degree, an MBA and/or possibly Six Sigma / Lean and other operational relevant qualifications - you have invested in challenging yourself.
