Job Description

Estimator - (Plastics & Building Products) Leeds£25,000 - £30,000 per annum + excellent company benefitsMy client is a unique supplier to the building services industry of uPVC products. They seek an experienced estimator to work from architectural drawings to produce accurate quotations for the installation of windows and features relative to the fenestration industry.You will be tasked not only to provide accurate estimations for costs of materials, but also assisting with the full order processing cycle for materials as well as customer liaison. In return you will be offered a permanent position within a stable building materials supplier who are continually seeking original processes to improve the efficiency of supplying the trade industry. The business is keen to secure a dynamic individual who is keen to maintain a good level of reputation for themselves and the brand.Duties of the Estimator: -

  • Review drawings to produce accurate estimations of materials and produce quotations for clients inline with specification including bespoke options
  • Use industry relative software: Windows Designer & Business Micros (company specific, others will be considered) as well as having had some exposure to CAD drawings
  • Process orders for materials on behalf of customers
  • Liaise with customers technically regarding their requirements ensuring attention to detail regarding any specific options they require
  • Experience working with roofline building products for the uPVC fascia’s and guttering would be advantageous alongside proven experience working with windows
  • Anticipate department lead times for the supply of products and ensure business relationships with the customer
  • Assist with queries regarding the quotation for the supply of materials; liaise with other departments to support customer requests and ensure full services are fulfilled by the business
    • Skills & Experience RequiredTo be considered for this role it is essential you have proven experience of: -
  • Estimating from drawings
  • Fenestration Exposure
    • Unfortunately due to the specific nature of the role estimating experience without windows (fenestration) will not be considered. If you have worked using Windows Design, Business Micros & CAD or relative software this would be advantageous.
