Job Description

Due to increased demand, we are recruiting for an Equity Release Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our successful Financial Solutions team at StepChange Debt Charity in Leeds. This is a key role responsible for guiding our clients throughthe equity release advice process in a manner that meets with client expectations as well as our own, so our clients can fully trust and value our advice and recommendation. Where youll workWe operate a hybrid working policy combining working from home with some days in our office in Leeds City Centre.This role can either be full time (35hours) or part time (20 hours) - Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm - (working pattern to be agreed).What you will be doing

  • To provide telephone based, whole of market equity release advice in line with the StepChange Financial Solutions advice process; and to make individual recommendations as appropriate
  • To deliver the highest standards of compliant advice in line with all regulatory requirements while taking into account a clients needs, objectives, alternatives, finances, preferences and all other relevant circumstances
  • To co-ordinate with all relevant parties (clients, providers, solicitors, charity departments and any other required individuals or organisations) to ensure a smooth transition from application to completion
  • To take responsibility for your own personal development and maintain product and market knowledge via all available resources to ensure all Training and Competence standards are achieved
  • To maintain accurate records in line with StepChange Financial Solutions policies, procedures and standards and all appropriate regulatory requirements
  • To provide ongoing advice and support to all StepChange Financial Solutions clients and to undertake regular client reviews to ensure the ongoing suitability of any recommended equity release plan until completion
What youll bring
  • Competent Status as a practicing Equity Release Advisor
  • Certificate in Regulated Mortgage Advice (CeMap / MAQ
  • Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER)
  • Proven success in providing compliant equity release advice
Salary: £35,000The rewards:
