A global provider of cutting-edge corrosion protection and re-engineering solutions is currently looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager for their Leeds engineering facility. Comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps will be required.You would play a key role as part of a specialist provider of corrosion engineering solutions who work with some of the biggest names operating in the power generation, oil & gas and petrochemical fields, operating out of 30 locations across 5 continents. Offering an attractive salary up to £45,000 this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated supervisor with broad experience of industrial engineering and comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps, drawings and strong CAD skills.---The RoleAs Workshop Manager you would oversee the full refurbishment of pumps and engineering components, ensuring the strip down, in-progress, final inspection and testing are carried out in accordance with procedures, specifications, drawings and clients requirements,ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the companys H&S rules. Key tasks will include…- Provide direction and technical assistance to works engineering staff that may involve some hands on work- Produce proposals, quotations and work updates for customers- Plan work and allocate trained staff for specific areas of work in accordance with customers needs and timescale- Ensuring that Inspection reports are raised where appropriate and followed up- Assist with ensuring that the system for calibrating/checking of all inspection and testing equipment is functioning satisfactorily and has been checked in accordance with procedures- Design and produce CAD drawings for a range of engineering, maintenance and site items and components---The Candidate- Able to demonstrate practical engineering and technical experience in previous supervisory/management role- Broad experience of Industrial engineering with experience in customer contact/sales, ideally gained within the Power Generation, Petrochemical, Oil or Water Industries- Comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps, drawings and CAD ability- Experience working with all types of Centrifugal pumps of various manufacture, such as HSC, volute, axial flow and vacuum pumps- Excellent communicator, well organised and strong people management and interpersonal skills---The CompanyOperating globally for over 40 years, you would be joining a thriving provider of innovative coatings and engineering solutions.
