Job Description

Workshop Engineer Leeds – LS11 Hours - Monday to Friday 40 hours per week onsiteWorkshop Engineer / Mechanical and Electrical / Fault Finding / Robotics / Powered Tools The recruitment group is working with a small business based in LS11 which is part of an international group that specializes in the development, construction, and manufacture of robotic equipment.Our client is looking to expand their team due to the business growth, so it is an exciting time for somebody to join who comes from a Mechanical and Electrical background.Main duties and responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer

  • PDIs, servicing, maintaining, and repairing specialist equipment for hire fleet.
  • Servicing and repair of customers’ own equipment.
  • Working effectively alone and as part of a small team
  • Work well under pressure
  • Maintain health & safety to HSE and company standards.
  • Ensure all mandatory training is undertaken and completed within given deadlines.
  • Create job sheets and quotes for customers.
  • Liaise and build a strong relationship with our German partners to assist in the fault finding and repair of equipment.
Key Skills for the Workshop Engineer
  • Electronic fault finding and good soldering skills.
  • The successful candidate must have a strong electrical and mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience with the usage of test equipment.
  • Analytical in approach and enjoy problem-solving.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following roles: Agricultural Engineer; Plant Engineer; Service Engineer; Mobile Service Engineer; mechanical engineer; hydraulic engineer; electrical engineer; workshop engineer,
  • Able to work without instruction and also as part of a small team.
Experience/knowledge requirements for the Workshop Engineer
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering (or similar experience).
  • A basic knowledge of electronics and fault finding, including soldering to a high standard.
  • Fully competent with fault finding and servicing machinery
