Salary:£70,000 - £80,000 based on experience (Pro Rota)Pension, Holiday, BenefitsHybrid£6 month FTC role A world-renowned, multi-national engineering business, based in Leeds, with other UK sites, have a new position for a procurement professional to join their Regional Group Supply Chain function, for a Project to lead a key Commodity Strategy and build contingencysupply routes, cost savings and lead time adherence. This multi-national business prides itself on innovation and research across its divisions, achieving world class solutions that improve its products and services to their global customers.This is a global stakeholder engagement role, so requires you to have a high degree of emotional and social intelligence to work with cross functionally teams such as; Finance, Design, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Executives, Senior Management and ExternalSupply Chains.Working with this key commodity youll assess the present supply chain capability along with the demand of the EMEA sites. Understand issues around supply and seek to improve there strategic relationships with global suppliers while finding alternative routesthat fulfil the production requirements across the operation. As opportunities are identified to drive commercial advantages, youll seek sign off to implement and mobilise the plans with key stakeholders to achieve the desires outcomes. The EMEA Sourcing Specialist will also provide holistic data of the corner stones in commodity supply management; producing MI information that provides all stakeholders with visibility on the critical path measures such as; Volume Demand, Availability, OTD,OTIF and budget control.Key Responsibilities:* Support the Group Supply Chain Strategy with help from the Senior and Executive Supply Chain Operations to develop continuity of supply for critical commodity groups* Oversee and be responsible for the introduction and development key outcomes that drive efficiencies, Improve Supply Plans, Improve Supplier Performance and Material Availability that improve OTD* Develop the reporting of all KPIs to deliver excellence across all areas* Analyse the commodity strategy and create a commercial plan that addresses the nsure feasible buying decision that tackle availability of materials, MOQs, price, correct inventory stock holds that meet future demand and quality* To develop the strategy, implement processes to make the operations of the business leading class providing flexibility to the commercial demands* Develop a sourcing strategy for the business to take advantage of opportunities that will become available during its development* Build strong partnerships with core suppliers to underpin the business future successKey experience for the role:* Strong systems knowledge is essential* Mechanical and Electrical Component supply chain experience from global sources is important* The candidate must have experience in Strategy Business and Supply Chain Planning that highlights risk and mitigates against the supply of materials while achieving operational improvements across all areas of the supply chain* Experience in MRP systems* Experience in procurement, planning and international logistics preferably gained in Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics, Oil & Gas, Engineering, Automation or a relative industry is key* Ideally experience of working in matrix structured operations whist not vital would be advantageousLocations; West Yorkshire, North West; Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Manchester, Oldham, Liverpool, Wigan, Wakefield, Harrogate, York, Elland, Dewsbury, Cheshire, Stockport, Bolton, and the surrounding areas.If you want to discuss this position in more detail, please contact Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of business across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
