Job Description

Embedded Software ContractorOUTSIDE IR35 £450+ pd 100% fully remote (within the UK only)Our client work on exciting technical projects for some of the biggest global names in the media and broadcast industry. The specific requirements of these projects mean that sometimes they need the support of independent third parties andassociates with specialist technical and sector knowledge with hands-on embedded software engineering experience, strong customer-facing skills, a wealth of technical knowledge and the ability to solve complex problems with minimal support, then wed liketo speak with you.Skill Requirements:

  • Strong technical experience with C, C++ or Java in an embedded Linux or Android environment.
  • Experience in Set-Top Boxes and related technologies (such as RDK), would be a big advantage
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using the latest tools
  • Experienced developing and debugging multithreaded and/or multi-process code
  • First-class communication and customer management skills
Desirable Tech Skills:Object Orientated programming in C++ or Java / UML diagramming / C++11 / RDK / STL or frameworks such as Qt / Embedded or mobile Java / JNI / Linux kernel / drivers / GCC / GDB / TDD and Unit Testing frameworks such as Google Test / Mockito / JUnit and similar/ Software development for consumer electronics or TV / Audio, Video & TV standards / Networking protocols and standards including TCP/IP / Wi-Fi / UPnP / DLNA / HLS or MPEG-DASH / Agile, Scrum methodologiesPlease apply to this role if you are interested in hearing more or seeing the full job description.Logic Recruiting
