Job Description

We are looking for a Marketplace Manager who will provide day-to-day management of Amazon and other marketplaces and collaborate on strategic leadership and guidance of e-commerce strategies in conjunction with the UK Managing Director and report on E-commercemetric.Client DetailsA specialist in baby care and womans care products are looking for an ECommerce Marketplace Manager to join a growing team.DescriptionWe are looking for a Marketplace Manager who will provide day-to-day management of Amazon and other marketplaces and collaborate on strategic leadership and guidance of e-commerce strategies in conjunction with the UK Managing Director and report on E-commercemetric.The role will take a first-hand approach to optimise listings and ad campaigns on Amazon (and other platforms) with a focus in driving incremental sales of existing products and launching new products on-line. The successful candidate will have extensiveknowledge of how each marketplace works, especially Amazon from a vendor and seller point of view (1P/3P), operating a hybrid Amazon strategy plus knowledge of other UK Market places such as eBay, on-buy and how these platforms can ecome a profitable channelfor the company.You will be joining the business at an exciting time as we step up our growth, evolve the brand, launch new products, and move into new categories. This role will report to the UK Managing Director and will play a pivotal role in the future development andsales growth of Amazon and other platforms. You will use your experience and knowledge to manage and develop all platforms and take full ownership of all listings ensuring they are optimised for the best results and work in conjunction with our agency to definethe advertising goals and strategy for Amazon ads.You will also be part of a wider EU Amazon working group sharing knowledge and best practice and consult with our US team on reporting and performance.What you will be doing

  • Lead the marketplace strategy for the UK business, working in conjunction with the UK MD.
  • Manage the day-to-day running and development of all third-party online channels, especially Amazon.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of marketplace advertising and work with agency to optimise Amazon ads to maximise performance and return on investment.
  • Create new listings on Amazon and optimise current listings to ensure the highest number of views/sales. Use vine to build reviews.
  • Work with Global Amazon Marketing team members to support on Amazon specific asset creation for new listings, A+ and brand page updates.
  • Performing market research on current competitors, new opportunities, current trends, and pricing strategies.
  • Explore other marketplaces to find more opportunities for market growth.
  • Create sales reports and feed back to the wider team on a weekly basis.
  • Determine why certain products are trending up or down, clearly articulate observations and propose strategies to troubleshoot problems.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales, reduce costs and drive conversion rate of acquired products including price optimization, PPC, packaging/inserts, coupons and deals, customer communications, creative, changing package dimensions, subscribe and save,removing unprofitable products and more.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop a go-to-market strategy and facilitate successful, impactful product launches and international expansion.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure products are always in stock, premium quality, have updated packaging, and have all appropriate required certifications.
ProfileWhat you will bring to the role
  • 5+ years of e-Commerce experience.
  • Extensive experience of Amazon 1P/3P and solid Amazon Ads experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience of listing successful items through Amazon and A+ content.
  • Strong analytical skills to guide business strategy decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to form strong professional relationships internally and with agencies.
  • Initiative-taking and results driven.
  • Ability to work independently but also enjoys working as part of a team and cross functionally to achieve goals.
  • Highly organised and enjoys multi-tasking.
  • Demonstrated understanding of web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting and content management systems and processes.
