Dispatch Operative - £8.72 (subject to age)Full Time; PermanentLeeds LS10, West YorkshireWe are a market leader in the contract bedroom manufacturing industry, working with large multinational clients. We have a 60,000 square feet factory just 10 minutes from Leeds City Centre.We are looking for keen, ambitious candidates who are looking to develop their career in manufacturing. This position will allow you to initially learn the dispatch area within the business with a view to learn other parts of the factory over time. You will start at entry level and gain experience on various tasks within the factory.Duties will include:·Conform to all Health & Safety policies and guidelines·Shadowing members of staff whilst training on various tasks·Use paperwork to carry out specific detailed tasks (labels, drawings & specifications)·Materials handling between departments·Quality checking and fault identification·General housekeeping of the work area and factory areas·Packing items prior to dispatch·Carry out any general tasks when asked by your Line leader/Manager·Assisting other areas of production if requiredKnowledge, Skills & Experience:·Willing to work as part of a team or on your own initiative·Numerate, with good communication skills·Able to undertake a variety of manual handling tasks·Able to work to targetsYou must be punctual, courteous reliable and well-presented and willing to help other members of the team.This is a permanent position and ideal for someone wanting a career in Manufacturing.
