Job Description

OVERVIEW:SharkNinja, a multi-billion dollar consumer products company, is seeking a Director, Product, Package, & Supply Chain Sustainability. The Director, Product, Package, & Supply Chain Sustainability will be responsible for defining and executing a strategyto deliver on SharkNinja’s internal and external sustainability goals.The Director, Product, Package, & Supply Chain Sustainability proactively drives business results through strong collaboration with Manufacturing, Product Development, Logistics, Commercial Sales, Finance, Legal and People & Culture leaders and teams.Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

  • Define, evolve, and execute SharkNinja’s packaging, product, facilities, and supply chain sustainability strategies, partnering with all key functional areas and stakeholders.
  • Ensure SharkNinja is set up to meet all regulatory sustainability requirements and applicable retailer sustainability requirements.
  • Continuously benchmark both the competitive set and broader consumer products industry to ensure SharkNinja has a meaningful sustainability strategy and targets, as well as insights to innovative solutions.
  • Partner with factories and sub-suppliers to identify and execute innovative, low-cost solutions that improve overall sustainability across SharkNinja’s supply chain.
  • Ideate, evaluate, and approve proposals for sustainability projects, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and integration with other initiatives.
  • Lead selects sustainability projects specific to packaging, product, facilities, and supply chain, driving results in alignment with internal and external goals.
  • Oversee broader portfolio of sustainability projects, providing regular reporting to key stakeholders (communicating for impact).
  • Maintain operational records and develop sustainability reports for carbon footprint or other environmentally focused sustainable activities.
  • Build measurement systems and ensure reporting that enables decision making to achieve internal and external goals; may include scorecards, dashboards, forecasts, and other reporting.
  • Provide Supply Chain sustainability data and information to be used in carbon accounting and annual environmental reporting.
  • Partner with SharkNinja’s communications team to ensure appropriate internal and external communications specific to packaging, product, facilities, and supply chain sustainability.
  • Coordinate with SharkNinja’s ESG team to align ESG and business goals.
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Package Engineering, Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years in industry experience, with leadership progression.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.
  • Proven experience in leading packaging, product, and supply chain sustainability strategy, programs, and initiatives for a $1.5B+ company. Experience with U.S. companies preferred.
  • Experience with ESG highly desirable.
  • Successful track record of leading cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Strong experience in packaging and/or product sustainability; consumer products experience preferred.
  • Excellent executive-level oral and written communication skills, including ability to transparently deliver high-impact presentations on complex topics to leaders and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to influence people, process, and technology/reporting across an organization.
  • Motivated self-starter, with ability to identify and drive innovative approaches to address new challenges.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture of SharkNinja’s overall sustainability strategy and how this role contributes to internal and external goals.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to drive for results, pivoting when relevant to enable speed to solution.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
