Development Chemist£22,000 - £35,000LeedsScience Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of an expanding and well-known manufacturing organisation based in Leeds who are keen to recruit for an experienced Scientific professional in the Cosmetics & Personal Care industry. You will be responsible for the formulation and development of innovative products in the industry, keeping up to date with the latest trends and changes in industry regulations and compliance.Key Duties:* Responsible for formulating all NPD for cosmetics & personal care products* Liaise with departments to oversee scale up and first production* Be on hand to provide technical assistance when required* Conduct sample testing* Create and adhere to critical path scheduling * Oversee pilot and first production runs* Inventory control - commercially justify use of new raw materials* Keep all staff up to date with new legislation changes* Keep PIF files up to date* Ensure all mixing instructions are correct on formulation tool* Conduct weekly calibration checks* Carry out inhouse testing on all SPF batchesKey Requirements:* Experience in a similar role is essential* Experience in the Cosmetics/Personal Care sector* A scientific degree - diploma in cosmetic science Required skills
