Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for the design and evolution of the business product catalogue, updating drawings and owning the manufacturing life cycle from concept to manufacture.Client DetailsIn this role you will be responsible for the design and evolution of the business product catalogue, updating drawings and owning the manufacturing life cycle from concept to manufacture.Description

    • Utilise design software (e.g., AutoCAD, to create detailed technical drawings.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality and production, to interpret project requirements and specifications.
    • Contribute to the development of prototypes and conduct testing to ensure designs meet performance and quality standards.
    • Analyse test data and make recommendations for design improvements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of design changes, revisions, and project progress.
    • Create comprehensive design reports and manuals for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure designs meet industry standards and regulations.
    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination throughout the manufacturing process.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall project outcomes.
    • Create all assembly sheets and Materials List.
    • Print hard copy of Autocad Drawing + Assembly sheets for shop floor
    • Send Materials List to Purchasing (with the relevant SO information).
Profile
  • Proven experience as a Design Technician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SWOOD, Cabinet Vision.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
