Job Description

Design Engineer - Ground Source Heat Pumps Job Title: Design Engineer - Ground Source Heat PumpsIndustry Sector: Project Designer, Senior Designer, Design Engineer, Solidworks, AutoCAD, CAD, R&D, Research & Development, Heat Pumps, Heating, HVAC, Plumbing, Heating, Air Handling Units, Heat Recovery, Heat Recovery, Boilers, HVAC, Renewables, New Build,M&E Consultants, M&E, Mechanical Consultants, ConsultantsLocation: Leeds or Exeter (hybrid working available)Remuneration: £36,000 - £44,000Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Packages The role of the Design Engineer - Ground Source Heat Pumps will involve:

  • Engineer position dealing with the development of a high quality manufactured range of ground source heat pumps
  • Analyse, interpret and gain an understanding of client requirements
  • Develop, manage and meet design project schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Plan, coordinate and perform various surveys
  • Author, review and coordinate M&E designs
  • Produce design reports and ensure that relevant documentation of design projects is kept up to date
  • Produce and develop design drawings for M&E services, external ground-arrays, site access, and infrastructure, in AutoCAD
  • Facilitate and collaborate in project handovers
The ideal applicant will be a Design Engineer - Ground Source Heat Pumps with:
  • Must have 2+ years Design Engineer experience in the HVAC market sector
  • Must be an Engineering graduate or similar
  • Must have a sound knowledge of the HVAC industry with a working knowledge of Ground Source Heating systems
  • Ability to liaise with clients and suppliers
  • Excellent ability and desire to grasp new concepts and ideas
  • Ideally will be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, HevaComp, IES & Solidworks
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels
  • Self-motivated, exceptional time management and high levels of organisation
