Job Description

We’re on a journey to expand our Information Management and Design team to transform YBS into a modern, data-driven organisation and as a result we’re looking for two Data Developers (internally known as BIS Data Developers). As our next Data Developers you’ll design, shape and maintain BI focussed data provisioning and integration of data solutions that drive performance, value-add Insight BI solutions and MI reporting to the Business. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Bradford and Leeds based Information Management and Design function.What Youll Do

  • Analyse, design, develop, test and implement solutions for Business Intelligence data warehouse (DWH) and other key reporting data sources, alongside the continuous improvement of the current DWH landscape
  • Provision data from source data stores (to IT data provisioning standards for development and administration) for IMD colleagues for BI/analysis/profiling
  • administer and support connections between BI tools and reporting data sources in line with data standards and policies
  • Data mapping from source to target and establishing current & future state based on business data requirements and support IMD Governance with ongoing documentation of data lineage and data quality
  • Promote data solutions through supported environments, following change release processes through to Production environments and ensuring assurance standards and models followed. Enable pro-active monitoring and management of BI integration solutions
  • Perform peer reviews of documentation, code and test scenarios and cases
    • Skills Required
  • Hands on Technical experience of Enterprise BI and ETL Tools i.e. Business Objects [IDT, Crystal, Webi], SAP BODS, ODI, PL/SQL], Data Warehousing
  • Proven experience in the principles of Infrastructure and data warehouse (DWH) design, dimensional, relational modelling and BI delivery using Enterprise ETL and BI software
  • Knowledge of DevOps/ DataOps methods in development of data solutions
  • Understanding and awareness of Data Cleansing, Data Quality and Data Governance tools and methods
  • Experience creating data solutions to support BI technologies i.e. Business Objects, Tableau
  • Understanding of data stores and flow of data across systems and within BI solutions from inception through to output
