Job Description

Who youll be working for: WebPrint DM who is one of the largest independent Direct Mail & Print Groups in the country. We have a purpose-built site in Leeds offering data processing, personalisation, enclosing along with web offset and cut sheet printed production all on one site.Our customers range from mail order, print management, retail, charities and tourism.Overview:We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 Data Essentials Apprenticeship.Whats in it for you:Reporting to the Data Analyst Programmer, you will gain experience of supporting administrative functions within the company and supporting in data processing and management through Excel.You will receive industry leading level 3 Data Analytics based training through QA apprenticeships which also includes a Microsoft Excel Certification.Duties:You will be responsible for:

  • Source data from a collection of already identified trusted sources in a secure manner
  • Collaborate with people both internally and externally at all levels with a view to creating value from data
  • Communicate results verbally, through reports and technical documentation and tailoring the message for the audience
  • Process and setup data for processing in document composition software for either the laser or ink jet machines - This will include proofing to customers
  • Carry out data maintenance

Entry requirements: The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.Find out more here: https://Qualifications/UKQRS/Default.aspxWorking week:37.5 hours per week,9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.Future prospects: 92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.Important Information:QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
