Job Description

Cyber UnderwriterSalary: Up to £55,000We are expanding our cyber insurance offering in line with our ambition to be a leading provider of cyber insurance within the UK! To support these growths plans we have a fantastic opportunity for a Cyber Underwriter to join our growing and tenacious teamThis is a great job for an Underwriter with Cyber insurance underwriting (or broking) experience!The role can be based anywhere in the UK (although the main team are based in Leeds), but we operate flexibly and would expect you to spend your time in the most appropriate location to meet business needs in line with customer demand (i.e. branch, homeor broker location).A bit about the job:This role is key to the business you will be an integral part in us achieving our growth ambitions by managing relationships with key regional brokers and helping to drive cross-sell growth to the existing Aviva customer base. Additionally, you will:

  • Assisting the growth of the UK Cyber account primarily through Regional Brokers
  • Build strong working relationships with our brokers and/or customers, regularly having meaningful face to face meetings, to build their confidence in us and to make Aviva their cyber insurer of choice
  • Undertaking day to day underwriting tasks - writing primarily new business, with some focus on renewals
  • Using data insight to drive cross sell activity on both new and renewal accounts. Providing support to, and acting as a referral point for, our generalist underwriting teams
  • Assisting the Regional Cyber Underwriting Manager in delivering our financial targets and promoting our cyber credentials
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Cyber insurance underwriting (or broking) experience
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, current and emerging cyber-crime trends and risk management
  • Confident communication and relationship management skills
  • Good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as you will have to work within a close-knit team.

  • Starting salary up to £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
