The HR Team is made up of various smaller teams including Learning and Development, Reward, Resourcing, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering and CSR and Diversity.This role sits within our CSR and Diversity Team who are key in creating and nurturing a culture that is inclusive, supportive and an environment where we can expect the best of each other.Our award-winning diversity and inclusion (D&I) programme has been consistently recognised over the years and delivered some impressive results, but there is still more that we need to do to ensure that we attract, recruit and retain a workforce which fully reflects the diversity of the talent pool and our client base. PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThe CSR and Diversity Manager is responsible for implementing the firms D&I and CSR strategy across the business. D&I and CSR are core parts of the HR and wider firm strategy and, as such, the role holder works closely with the Head of Talent and Learning, HR Director, the wider HR management team and senior stakeholders in the business.AG pride themselves on continual improvement and innovation and therefore you will be pivotal to drive forward fresh initiatives, annual processes and projects. You can expect a varied and fast paced role within a collegiate, dynamic and friendly team. DUTIES* Implementing the firms D&I and CSR strategy and priorities.* Working closely with the firms CSR Partners, Pro Bono Partners and Inclusion Partners to drive their respective agendas.* Liaising with HR and L&D colleagues to ensure effective CSR strategies and D&I principles are embedded into all people policies, processes and training.* Establishing relationships with and galvanising support from key internal stakeholders - within and outside HR - to ensure optimum buy in to the D&I and CSR agenda.* Effectively creating and cascading internal communication messages and working closely with the PR team to ensure optimum external coverage of the firms initiatives.* Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of equality legislation and translating that into practice.* Setting and managing the budget.* Ensuring firm members, including new joiners, are trained/educated in the principles of CSR and D&I.* Advising our international offices on CSR and D&I.* Managing the firms CSR and D&I memberships effectively.* Leading on the firms charity partnership appointment processes.* Coordinating our annual gender pay gap reporting.* Managing and talking to clients, external advisors and industry led forums to determine best practice.* Leading on client partnership activity to support shared objectives.* Providing guidance and support to the CSR and Diversity Advisor.* Representing the firm at external meetings, forums and networking events. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (BESPOKE TO ROLE)* Proven track record in delivering CSR and D&I programmes to a high standard.* Organised, highly-motivated and with a track record in delivering successful projects.* Law or professional services experience ideal, but will consider those with different backgrounds.* Experience of engaging with and influencing individuals at a senior level.* Able to provide a confidential and sensitive service, as required.* Travel to our other UK offices and attendance at external engagements outside of core hours will be required from time to time.* AG is committed to equal opportunities in employment.
